2010: Braeburn School, Nairobi, Kenya

Kesho Amahoro was first performed in March 2010 by students at Braeburn School in Nairobi, Kenya. It was directed by Becky Cooper, Ben James and Lizzie Jago. The music director and choreographer was Anna Rusbatch. There was a cast of 108 children aged 9-13 and they exuded talent and performed far beyond their years.

The wonderful facilities at Braeburn School allowed for the use of a professional theatre with excellent light and sound capabilities. The set was designed and constructed by Dana Drozd and students in the school's art department and costumes were provided by Joanna Stutchbury from
Total Escapade.

Essential backstage support was provided by Suzanne Smith Lomas and Becky Apps. Faye Hardisty supported and promoted Kesho Amahoro through the sale of tickets, t-shirts and DVDs. The live orchestra consisted of students, parents and school staff. A group of African drummers, led by Kamau, also helped by contributing a genuine East African flavour to the sound.

Thanks to all involved in the creation and performance of Kesho Amahoro, March 2010 at Braeburn School.
